A passenger boat sank off a pier in touristic Pattaya beach of Thailand on Friday, no casualties, Thai media reported.

The two-engine speed boat, travelling between Koh Larn island and Pattaya beach, sank about 100 metres from the shore shortly after departing on Friday morning.

Rescuers were able to save all 22 people aboard the boat. All of them are South Korean tourists, Nation Channel News website reported.

The police has detained Choosak Prasankaew, 46, the wheelman, for investigation.
