Six Chinese cricketers to train in London for 20 weeks

Six Chinese national team cricketers will train in London this summer for full cricket season (20 weeks), an official from the Capital Kids Cricket (CKC) said on Monday.

Shahidul Alam Ratan, CKC's development head coach, said that the Chinese cricketers will play games, get coaching, get involved in school cricket programs with CKC coaches.

It was the second time that the Chinese players has trained in London. Six players spent 10 weeks last summer with the support of CKC and Kids Cricket World (KCW).

KCW and CKC will bear all their expenses while the players are in London.

Ratan, a former head coach of the Bangladesh national team, said that KCW is also planning to support school cricket in China.

Ratan said, "China is trying to develop as top international team in near future. Cricket is an English game so this is also useful to have a strong link between Chinese cricket and England.

"This will help the young Chinese players to learn about the culture and spirit of the game. There are lots can be learn from England which may not get elsewhere."
