A man drowned in a diving pool in Beijing while his colleague, a kung fu star, was practicing for the reality show China Splash on April 19, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.

The 18-year-old man, surnamed Peng, was working for Shi Xiaolong, a kung fu star set to take part in the TV show produced by Zhejiang TV. According to Wang Zhenyu, an employee with the program, Peng was found submerged after other employees couldn't find him in the diving pool in the General Administration of Sport of China in Dongcheng district. He was immediately sent to hospital but still died. China's national diving team, which is cooperating with the program, has not commented on the tragic accident.
