Shanghai Tower and its two adjacent skyscrapers have been dubbed kitchen utensils by one Net user due to their resemblance to a bottle opener, whisk and syringe.

The photo, posted by Weibo user Tangweiliangwilliam, shows three skyscrapers in Shanghai's Pudong district; Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Jinmao Tower, the Nanjing-based Modern Express reported on August 6.

The photo went viral on Chinese social media and sparked amusing comments from Net users.

"The architects must be a drunk, a doctor and a housewife," commented one Net user.

Construction crews sealed the roof of the Shanghai Tower, or "whisk", on August 3, making it the tallest building in China at 632 meters, second only to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ( 829.8 meters). The Shanghai World Financial Center ("bottle opener") and Jinmao Tower ("syringe") are 492 meters and 420.5 meters respectively.
