Competition Format

The fencing competition of AYG Nanjing 2013 will be held in accordance with the latest FIE Competition Rules. The individual events shall be scheduled in accordance with the FIE world rankings, national/region.

The formula for the individual competitions is one round of pools where no fencer is eliminated. This is followed by a direct elimination table where the fencers are put in the table according to their results in the pools.

Two third places. If there is any disagreement in the interpretation of the Rules, the French version shall prevail.

The fencing competition of the 2nd Asian Youth Games, Nanjing 2013 (Abbreviation "AYG Nanjing 2013") will consist of the following six (6)events:

Men's: Individual Foil, Individual Saber, Individual Epee

Women's: Individual Foil, Individual Saber, Individual Epee
