DAFF (Design, Art & Fashion Fair) is back again in Shanghai this September. The fall edition of the bi-annual event by local event organizers The Ice Cream Truck will take place during Mid-Autumn Festival on September 20 and 21 at a new venue along the Bund Waterfront.

 

This will be the fifth time for the event to take place. "DAFF is one of the biggest bi-annual lifestyle community events in Shanghai aimed at giving China's creative leaders and rising talent a platform to interact, share ideas and promote new projects," said Adja Sy, marketing assistant at The Ice Cream Truck.

The two-day event will feature over 60 pop-up shops from local and international designers and brands, fashion shows, food and drink stalls, workshops, and live music from local and international bands and art performances.

"Since the first DAFF in fall 2011, each edition has grown to bring together more designers, artists, brands and attendees to join this unique lifestyle event," said Sy. "DAFF serves as a remarkable platform for the creative community in China to interact and inspire both the industry and the general public. Last edition drew over more than 90 brands, more than 30 media channels, and 9,000 creative industry leaders, trendsetters and style influencers."

Live music shows will include performances by Mau Mau, Teasy, El'se, Raz, Lindberg, Will A, Chase Wang, Barezi and Paffers. Like last spring, there will be a bike ride to DAFF from Lola (570 Yongjia Road) on Friday. The meeting time is 1:30 pm.

DAFF Fall edition will also feature an animated photo booth by Redscale Studios, a chill out area with food and drinks, lucky draw prizes, Urbanears silent disco tent, Vans' custom-made artist shoes, hand screen printed DAFF souvenirs by Idle Beats, and a free dog walking service provided by the Shanghai Dog Walker if you want to bring your pet along with you. DAFF fashion shows will start each day at 4 pm.

"With a solid two days of pop-up shops, delicious food and beverage, fashion shows, live art demonstrations, interactive installations, workshops and music programming, DAFF is constantly working to offer its participants and attendees better results and a more memorable experience," said Sy.

Friday night the DAFF after-party will continue underground from 10 pm to 3 am. The entry is 30 yuan (B2/F, take the escalator all the way down from DAFF venue).
