The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) on Sunday listed Nigeria's Lagos Classics in its 2014 World Tour.

The ITTF awarded the hosting right to Nigeria to stage the maiden 2014 Africa Top 16 Cup after the country hosted the Lagos Classics.

"ITTF CEO (Judit Farago) has confirmed the approval of ITTF to include your very successful event, the 2nd Lagos International Classics, among the GAC World Tour Calendar of 2014," said Khaled El-Salhy, President of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF).

"This means that the following: the event will be treated as a part of the top professional circuit of ITTF which is GAC Group World Tour, as an ITTF sanctioned event."

The tour event will be held in Lagos from June 23 to June 26, 2014, while the Africa Top 16 Cup will follow from June 27 to June 28, 2014.
