The fourth Cambodia International Film Festival will be launched here from Dec. 7 to 12 to promote the country's cinema industry, organizers said Monday.
About 90 films from more than ten countries will be screened to audience in the capital city, including some 30 Khmer films.
"This is the largest yearly cinema event in Cambodia and it's only showing in Phnom Penh," Cedric Eloy, chief executive of the Cambodia Film Commission, said at a press briefing.
Sin Chanchhaya, director of the Cinema and Cultural Diffusion Department at the
Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, said the six- day film festival was very important to promote Cambodian film industry.
