Ma Lin, former head coach of Liao­ning Whowin, has been appointed the "interim" coach of Dalian Aerbin, the Dalian-based Chinese Super League club announced Thursday.

According to a Thursday report from the Guangzhou-based Soccer News newspaper, Ma will be the permanent coach at Aerbin, and all that "interim" suggests the contract with current head coach Simo Krunic, who took charge in June this year, has not yet expired.

Ma was a national team player from 1984 to 1990. He started his coaching career in 1996. In 2008 he was named head coach of Liao­ning, where he spent six years.

The club also announced Chi Shangbin, assistant coach of the national team from 2000 to 2002, will be the general manager of the club.
