Young Woman Singer, a portrait of China's First Lady Peng Liyuan by oil painting master Jin Shangyi, along with works by some most influential contemporary artists in China such as Chen Danqing and Wu Zuoren are shown at the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Art (CAFA) till January 5.

Silent Advocacy: Teaching Research Exhibition of the First Studio of the Department of Oil Painting in the School of Plastic, CAFA recalls the path of teaching development of professional plastic art in China, and presents the diversity of Chinese oil paintings in the past five decades.

Established in 1959 and led by Wu, First Studio is one of the earliest studios at CAFA, gathering top artists such as Chen and Jin as instructors. More than 60 works by First Studio are displayed at the exhibition.
