After days of face-to-face negotiations with club officials, Aleksandar Stanojevic has agreed to terminate his contract with Chinese outfit Beijing Guoan, Thursday's Beijing Youth Daily reported.

Stanojevic is reportedly planning to take the reins of the Serbian national ­soccer team. The players there are mostly those Stanojevic coached when he was head coach of the Serbian national under-19 team from 2008 to 2010.

The Serbian took charge of Guoan in November 2012 after he resigned from Dalian Aerbin. In September 2013 he even had extended his contract for two years, but he has requested no compensation fee for the contract termination.
