The Secretary General of NATO Anders Fogh Rasmussen on Saturday condemned in strongest terms the barbaric attack on Friday in Kabul.

Rasmussen expressed his deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and I wish speedy recovery to the wounded in his statement.

"We stand in solidarity with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, other international organizations and nations who are seeking to verify the status of their personnel," said Rasmussen, "There can never be any justification for such indiscriminate acts of terror and destruction."

On Friday night, three Taliban launched a suicide bombing and shooting attack at a restaurant in Kabul, killing 21 persons, including foreign nationals.
