A man was stabbed to death Thursday morning at a mahjong and chess parlor that he frequented in Changning district, the news website xinmin.cn reported. 

The incident started with an argument over a debt that escalated into a physical altercation between the victim and another man.

The suspect remained at large Thursday afternoon as police continued their investigation.
