While Uruguay's Luis Suarez is still under investigation by FIFA for allegedly chomping down on an Italian opponent's shoulder Tuesday, a Norwegian man won nearly 1,000 bucks by placing a bet on the bite before the game.
Cox Media Group reported that Thomas Syversen won 5,600 krone ($916) for betting Suarez would bite one of the Italian players during the Tuesday match.
Syversen was not the only one who placed a bet on Suarez's bite, as other websites also held the unusual wager.
Attempting to cash in on the infamous chomp, some online Chinese vendors have announced plans to produce Suarez bite-themed merchandise, such as a bottle opener.
Suarez, who reportedly has bitten other players twice before, appeared to bite Italy's Giorgio Chiellini on Tuesday. Uruguay won the match 1-0.
FIFA has charged Suarez with biting Chiellini. If Suarez is found guilty, he could be banned for at least two matches and up to 24 months.
