Featuring Chinese beauty Liu Yifei and South Korean heartthrob Rain, romance film For Love or Money is scheduled to hit domestic screens on November 7, days before China's "Single's Day" holiday on November 11.

A young woman, Xing Lu (Liu), from a declining aristocratic family finds herself caught between two men and hidden secrets. She soon finds herself tortured by the decision to choose between the man she loves or a comfortable rich life.

The film was adapted from a book by best-selling Hong Kong author Amy Siu-Haan Cheung.

For Love or Money marks director Gao Xixi's first big screen debut. Having directed TV series for decades, Gao is famous for depicting emotional relationships between people in TV series such as Happiness as Flowers, Sweet Honey, Shanghai Grand (2014), Three Kindoms (2010) and Mao Zedong (2010).

Beside its leading actor and actress, the film also gathers several other stars such as Wang Xuebing, Andy On and veteran actress Joan Chen.
