China National Salt (Shanghai) Salt Co, a wholly owned subsidiary of China National Salt Industry Corp, signed a cooperative agreement with the US-based Morton Salt Inc on Wednesday, which will allow the imports of more Morton salt products to China in the future, news portal money.163.com reported Wednesday.

The collaboration also includes trademark and technology licensing agreements.

Morton has already been selling its products in China on a small scale during the past decade via a joint venture with the Shanghai firm, according to media reports.
