Brazilian striker Elkeson signed a new four-year contract with Guangzhou Evergrande, the club announced Sunday.
The new contract will expire on February 28, 2019.
Elkeson, who joined the Chinese champions in 2012, scored 24 goals to become Chinese Super League (CSL) top scorer in 2013. The Brazilian netted a CSL record of 28 goals in 2014 and won the MVP honor.
"I am very happy to sign a new contract with Guangzhou," the 25-year-old said on the club's website. "This city is like my home. I will be with you in the next four years and I hope we can win more titles with your support."
