Long anticipated action movie Wolf Warriors, directed by and starring action star Wu Jing, is postponing its releasing date from March 6 to April 2, Wu announced at a press conference in Beijing on Sunday.

Wu explained that the reason for the move was that he is still not satisfied with some of the details with the film and he hopes to make some additional changes to ensure the film is the best possible.

When asked whether the move was an attempt to avoid a face-to-face challenge with other blockbusters, Wu explained that considering the booming nature of the Chinese film market, avoiding competition was next to impossible.

"I have faith in my Wolf Warriors. It is sure to capture audiences' hearts," he added. 

This film is also Wu's first 3D film. Explaining his decision to film in 3D, Wu referred to Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai's thoughts on the subject: "Wong once said that '3D technology is the perfect fit for kung fu movies. The 3D experience and special effects are sure to bring audiences into the film itself.'"
