Jiangxi 100 Cities Travel Boost Campaign brings travel fair to Beijing

South China's Jiangxi Province, which is well-known for its natural scenery and travel sites like Wuyuan and Lushan Mountain, kicked off a travel fair in Beijing on Saturday to promote its travel resources to travelers in the capital city.

The first stop on Jiangxi's 100 Cities Travel Boost Campaign, the travel fair, titled Beautiful Jiangxi Scenery, has gained the attention of potential travelers. According to Wang Xiaofeng - director of the Jiangxi Travel Development Commission, the organization behind the fair - a total of 61 scenic spots will offer half price discounts to travelers. In addition, 42 trip packages connecting scenic spots in Jiangxi like the Lushan, Jinggang and Sanqing Mountains and Wuyuan will present travelers with more choices when it comes to making plans for the upcoming May Day holiday weekend. These packages include reduced price trips that visitors can take with parents and a trip to Longhu (dragon and tiger) Mountain for the elderly.

According to Wang, in addition to signing up for trips at the fair, travelers can also turn to travel agencies in Beijing. The Jiangxi tourism board has also set up its own public account on WeChat to provied useful information to followers. At the fair, visitors can scan QR codes on posters for more information. The travel fair ends today.
