After a busy work day, everyone dreams of spending a relaxing and leisurely weekend with family and friends. However, figuring out where to go in Beijing has increasingly become a headache. The rapidly developing city has resulted in more skyscrapers instead of green space. Many people try to go to the city's outskirts, but are disappointed because of heavy traffic on the way there.

Double Tree by Hilton Beijing has come up with an answer: The Sunday Fun Day Pool Party. The festivities take place in the hotel's charming outdoor garden on the third floor, complete with a huge swimming pool, toys, a swing, a slide and more facilities for children. The pool party is open from noon to 4 pm every Sunday until September 20.

The Double Tree by Hilton Beijing chef also specially prepares a meal for partygoers with 30 dishes that include beef short ribs, chargrilled lamb saddle, marinated chicken wings, sea scallops with garlic and sesame oil, salad, and beverages.

Jiang Fan, who does vehicle design and development in Beijing, said she was happy and excited to discover an event that is relaxing and also appropriate for her 1-year-old child.

"After the meal, my child can play, while I ultimately have the chance to talk with my close friends in such an enchanting and peaceful place," Jiang said.
