A group exhibition featuring print paintings by various professors and teachers from fine art academies around China is currently on display at the Rhythm Art Museum in Beijing.

With Su Xinping, vice president of Central Academy of Fine Arts, the exhibit features more than 150 prints taking the theme: Pursuit of Excellence.

In addition to those prints from teachers and professors, prints from 20 young artists are also on display as part of the exhibition. Experimental in nature, the paintings cover various themes and topics related to people's ordinary daily lives.

"Artists, especially younger ones, need special care and attention. Our hope is that this exhibition will allow the general public to better learn about and understand their paintings, as well as cause the academic world to pay more attention to the way these artists think and explore," Su told the Global Times.

According to Su, the appearance of print paintings in people's everyday lives allows this form of art to have a particular influence on most people.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until Wednesday.
