Lights have officially been turned on at the transit hall of the new Shanghai metro Line 12 at the western extension of South Shaanxi Road Station Wednesday. Starting from Qufu Road Station, ending at Qixin Road Station and running through Xuhui, Jing'an and Minhang districts, 16 stations are located along the 21-kilometer route, which will be put into operation by the end of this month.
