The first Asia Biennial and the fifth Guangzhou Triennial Exhibition kicked off at the Guangdong Museum of Art on Friday, with exhibits focusing on the development of Asia and the theme "Asia Time."
Works of 47 artists from 20 countries including China, South Korea, India, Japan and Singapore will be showcased during the exhibition, which runs through April 10, 2016.
In mediums such as paintings and film, the works center around China’s "Belt and Road,” displaying the history, development, and cultural exchanges among Asian countries along the initiative’s routes.
From the agrarian age to the modern era, Asia has made earth-shaking changes and developments, which will all be displayed at the exhibition. The exhibition will bring the fresh and lively Asian arts closer to people around the world.
