Police in Nanning, Southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region are handing out multiple sets of playing cards featuring the province's 248 most wanted cyber criminals, China Central Television reported Sunday.

Binyang county authorities said they will distribute 15,000 decks to the public in the hopes it produces information about the fugitives.

Police are upping the ante with a 2,000-yuan ($304) reward for any information that leads to a capture, media reported.

The playing cards, which recall "Iraqi Most Wanted" decks produced by the US Army in 2003, were largely  met with approval on China's social media.

"This is worth putting into widespread use," a Web user commented.

"The power of the people is mighty," another wrote on Sina Weibo.

Some mocked the idea. "I don't think people will feel comfortable playing with these cards," wrote a netizen.
