On January 28, Ludger Beerbaum, the world-famous show jumper and Li Jing, the CEO of Beijing Dashing Equestrian Cultural Co Ltd jointly announced the launching of the Longines World Equestrian Academy, for which the Swiss watch brand Longines is the title partner and the official watch.
The academy aims at promoting the equestrian discipline of show jumping in China. It will organize a comprehensive program utilizing educational video sessions filmed in famous riding sport center Riesenbeck International in Germany. Also the academy will give Chinese riders opportunities to travel to Riesenbeck and take part in its shows. Li said this academy will not only act as a riding school for all levels, but also to educate China in all facets of the equestrian sport.
Juan-Carlos Capelli, the vice president of Longines and the head of international marketing, said Longines is very excited to support the academy's purpose of further developing equestrian sports in China. "Longines is a brand deeply involved in equestrian sports, sharing the common values of elegance, tradition and performance with the equestrian world," said Capelli.
Beerbaum also expressed his thankfulness to Longines, "With their support we now have the platform to take equestrian sports in China to the next level."
