A Chinese delegation led by Admiral Sun Jianguo, deputy chief of General Staff Department of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA), will attend this year's
Shangri-La Dialogue held in Singapore from June 3 to 5, Ministry of National Defense spokesperson Yang Yujun said on June 3.
Admiral Sun will deliver a keynote speech on June 5 covering China's views on strengthening Asia-Pacific security cooperation and regional security.
During the three-day event, the Chinese delegation will elaborate on President
Xi Jinping's ideas about building a community of common destiny and the fostering of a security governance model with Asian features.
The delegation will also introduce China's contribution to the peace, security and stability of both the Asia-Pacific region and of the world at large, and will share China's views on international and regional security and stability.
Members of the delegation also include Guan Youfei and Li Ji, director and vice director of the Office for International Military Cooperation of the Chinese Central Military Commission, as well as experts and scholars from the Academy of Military Sciences and National Defense University.
