Grand opening of a new visa application center in Nanjing

A visa application center in Nanjing for Germany, France, the Netherlands and Switzerland officially opened Tuesday. Residents in Jiangsu Province can now apply for visas to the four European countries without having to travel to Shanghai.

Peter Rothen, Consul General of Germany in Shanghai, Axel Cruau, Consul General of France in Shanghai, Anneke Adema, Consul General of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Shanghai, Alexander Hoffet, Consul General of Switzerland in Shanghai and Huang Xiqiang, deputy head of Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government were in attendance and gave speeches at the opening ceremony.

Currently TLS visa application centers are located in 13 cities and municipalities across China: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Shenyang, Chongqing, Jinan, Changsha, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Kunming and Xi'an.

The Nanjing center provides one-stop visa application services and like other centers, it will record biometric data of applicants and submit their visa applications according to Schengen regulations. Only applications from passport holders can be submitted at these application centers.
