Editor's Note:
The Sichuan-Tibet Highway in Southwest China is no walk in the park for its high altitudes, landslides or collapses. These dangers, however, did not deter Yi Xiaoxing, 47, from traveling the highway’s more than 2,000 kilometers in his hand-powered cycle. Paralyzed by polio when he was eight months old, Yi rode his hand cycle across the entire stretch from Sichuan Province to Tibet Autonomous Region. The entire journey took him two months.
