Lanzhou beef noodles is one of China's most popular handmade fast foods. The Global Times reporters on Wednesday visited two Lanzhou beef noodle restaurants in Beijing run by people from Hualong Hui Autonomous county of Northwest Qinghai Province. Hualong is known as the “home of beef noodles.” In Beijing, there are 368 beef noodle restaurants run by Hualong people. A quarter of Hualong people work in beef noodle businesses around China. Many Hualong people have been lifted out of poverty by making noodles. To better support the industry, the Hualong government has built service offices in 53 cities.
