Local people and tourists savor the beautiful snow-blanketed landscape at the Baicheng hot springs ski venue in Baicheng county, Aksu in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The second Ice and Snow Culture Tourism Festival of Baicheng commenced amid much fanfare on Tuesday. A total of 12.9 million yuan ($1.8 million) has been invested in the venue, which is the largest in southern Xinjiang. Professional skiing tracks are expected to add to this location’s glory in 2020.
