Editor's Note:
As major Shanghai hospitals resume outpatient service Monday, Shanghai Changhai Hospital has set up medical tents to avoid cross-infection among patients. Four medical tents have been set up on the hospital square, where patients undergo a quick initial examination before they step in for the regular treatment. Infrared thermometers were also put into use to automatically take body temperatures. This comes as an effective measure by the Changhai Hospital to contain the spread of novel coronavirus, reduce cross-infection, and curtail the rate of hospital-acquired infection. It enables the hospital to conduct a pre-operative outpatient medical evaluation in the open air, which minimizes the chances of cross infection. Photos: Yang Hui/GT
