19 Ghanaians learn the art of bamboo weaving in SW China’s Sichuan Province

A Ghanaian man is taught the art of bamboo weaving in Qingshen county, Meishan in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province on August 17, 2016.

19 Ghanaians will learn the secrets of producing high-quality bamboo and rattan products during a two-month training course in Qingshen county, an area renowned for its bamboo craftsmanship. The event is being co-held by China’s Ministry of Commerce, the International Centre for Bamboo and Rattan, and the International Network for Bamboo & Rattan.

To date, a total of 756 people from 78 countries and regions have benefited from the bamboo training courses, as the International Centre for Bamboo and Rattan has scaled up its foreign aid in recent years. Photo: Chinanews.com
