Local residents relocated after floods in Jiangxi Province

Local residents in three villages are besieged by floods after the collapse of two water barriers in Poyang county in East China’s Jiangxi Province. The villages have suffered power and water outages due to the floods, but mobile networks have been generally restored. 463 residents have so far been relocated, while those living on high ground remain at home. The villages have a total of 2,740 permanent residents. No casualties have been reported.
