Shanghai movie theaters screened debuting film A First Farewell, the childhood stories of two Xinjiang children, on Monday morning, the first day that China’s film authority allowed theaters in COVID-19 low-risk areas to reopen to public.
GT reporters learned that tickets for the film sold out quickly in several cinimas after sales channels were opened. The first customer came to a movie theater to get his ticket at 9 o’clock, 50 minutes before the screening.
