In a compression socks plant in China's Zhejiang Province, which exports most of its socks to the US, lines of hosiery machines were seen rolling, with around 80 employees busy operating machines, sorting and packaging. Last year, the company exported around 100 million yuan ($14.72 million) worth of compression socks. In 2020, the company's export sales have surged by around 40 percent despite the global pandemic.
