Editor's Note:
Residents were seen waiting patiently in long queues to take nucleic acid tests for COVID-19 at a Shanghai hospital on Tuesday morning. Each test costs 120 yuan ($17.7). A young man, who preferred to be unnamed, told the Global Times on Tuesday that he needed proof of a negative test result before returning to work as he traveled to Qingdao in East China’s Shandong Province during the recent holidays. Shanghai has implemented new measures meaning that those people entering the city from COVID-19 medium-risk regions in China will have to undergo 14-day of community health management, after new cases of COVID-19 were found in Qingdao.
