Editor's Note:
After nearly two years of construction, China's first deep-space antenna array system has been officially completed at a ground station in Kashi, Northwest China's Xinjiang. It will serve the Tianwen-1 Mars and Chang'e-4 missions.

The three new 35-meter-diameter antennas add to the old one of the station, forming a 4×35-meter deep-space antenna array system, which achieves the data-receiving capability equivalent to a 66-meter-diameter antenna. In this way, detection range and receiving sensitivity will be greatly improved, providing strong monitor and control support for China's various deep-space exploration missions.
