Editor's Note:
Students from middle and primary schools and kindergartens in Beijing ushered in the new semester as planned on March 1. In principle, middle and primary school students need to return to Beijing 14 days before the start of school and must provide a negative nucleic acid test certificate.

At Beijing Jingyuan School in Shijingshan district, students have to sign a commitment letter with their teachers and parents, promising not to bring mobile phones into the classroom. Each classroom is equipped with a mobile phone safe deposit box. After students arrive at school, they need to turn off their mobile phones and store them in the boxes. Photos: Li Hao/GT
