Blue skies and sunshine returned on Tuesday after Beijing was hit by the largest sandstorm in a decade a day earlier. Beijing has cleared up and the yellow warning for sandstorms was lifted on Tuesday morning, but China's national observatory renewed a blue alert for sandstorms which will hit the Northern, Central and Eastern parts of the country from Tuesday until Wednesday morning.
