Editor's Note:
After H&M caused public outrage on the Chinese Internet for boycotting Xinjiang cotton on Wednesday, GT reporters visited H&M stores in downtown business areas in Beijing and Shanghai on Thursday, and saw only a few customers inside.

Some residents in Beijing said that unless H&M shows sincerity and apologizes, they would not choose this brand in the future. Two clerks at an H&M store in Shanghai said that they did not want this to happen, and they were also patriotic.

So far, most of China's major e-commerce platforms, including Taobao and JD.com have cleared all products and search results related to H&M. According to reports, China is one of H&M's largest markets. Photos: Li Hao, Yang Hui/GT
