Editor's Note:
Fishing boats on the surface of the Yangtze, China's longest river have disappeared, replaced by patrol vessels that are enforcing the government’s.10-year fishing ban, which is expected to create a new ecology for the Yangtze, nicknamed as the “mother river” of China.
To cope with depleting fishery resources in the river, the government has organized no-fishing enforcement teams, retired fishermen, and scientific research teams to help ecological conservation.
