Editor's Note:
Echoing the grand Victory Day military parade in Moscow's Red Square, almost 400 people gathered in Beijing on Sunday, joining the “Immortal Regiment” march to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. Several descendants of Soviet and Chinese soldiers who took part in battles against Nazi Germany held up pictures of their relatives and friends who fought in World War II, singing the well-known Russian song “Katyusha” at the Beijing Exhibition Hall, talking about the years of turbulence and touching stories of the past.
