About 1,000 evacuated residents from several villages in the flood battered Xinxiang, central China’s Henan Province, have been moved into a primary school which was turned into a temporary shelter as of Sunday afternoon, Global Times reporters learned.
Xinxiang authorities have transformed over 200 schools into temporary shelters for people affected by floods, where people have access to water and electricity, according to media reports. (Photos: Li Hao)
