People pay silent tribute and present flowers to deceased national heroes on China's 8th Martyrs Day

About 1,000 people from all walks of life paid a silent tribute and presented flowers to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the liberation of the Chinese people and the national building of the People's Republic of China in the Chinese People’s Anti-Japanese Aggression War Memorial Hall in suburban Beijing on Thursday, China’s 8th Martyrs’ Day. 
At the Memorial Hall, teachers and students of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications held an oath-taking ceremony for joining the Communist Party of China, which celebrated its 100th anniversary of founding this year.
