Construction workers and experts are working around the clock to repair a bridge on the Nantongpu railway in Jinzhong, North China’s Shanxi Province. The bridge base was destroyed by heavy downpours a week ago. GT reporters at the scene learned that Nantongpu railway is a key transport line for Shanxi and runs 60 pairs of trains every day.

Repairs to one direction for the railway were completed on Friday and the other direction is expected to be connected soon.(Photos: Cui Meng/GT)
