Dedicated lanes for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics were officially opened on Friday. The lanes will be used by approved vehicles to connect competition venues, Olympic facilities, and other designated locations.

For the Winter Olympics, the lanes will be in effect from Jan 21 to Feb 25, a total of 36 days, spanning 239.5 kilometers across 42 roadways. For the Winter Paralympics, the lanes will be active from Feb 26 to Mar 16, a total of 19 days, and cover 196.7 kilometers across 29 roadways. Photos: Li Hao/GT
