American figure skater Nathan Chen won the men's singles gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Winter Games on Thursday, ranking first in both the short program and men's individual event. Chen, who finished 5th four years ago in PyeongChang Games, collected 218.63 points in Thursday's individual event to win the championship by 332.60 points in total. Japan's Yuma Kagiyama, the only other athlete who scored over 200 points in individual event, took silver with a total of 310.05, while his compatriot Shoma Uno got the bronze with 293.00. Two-time Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu, also from Japan, came fourth witn 283.21. Chinese figure skater Jin Boyang stood at 9th place. Photos: Li Hao/GT
