Shanghai's downtown Xintiandi UME International Cineplex opened on Friday as scheduled in a strict and managed fashion, with attendances capped at 50 percent due to epidemic prevention and control orders. Cinemas in Shanghai have been suspended since March 10 due to the epidemic. But some cinemas also postponed their dates to resume business. A resident said he has been looking forward to watching movies in the cinema again and he had no concerns thanks to the city's epidemic prevention measures. Photos: Chen Xia/GT
