Editor's Note:
The livestreaming craze has brought luster back to Southwest China's border city of Ruili, which is famous for its jade industry, after China further downgraded COVID-19 management. Livestream selling of jade products was still very busy at midnight on Monday, and vendors from Myanmar have begun to restore their close connections with Chinese buyers as China reopens its border. Ruili, the main bridge linking China with Myanmar, closed the jade trade fair in the city and suspended the imports of jade from Myanmar during some periods over the past three years due to the pandemic. Now, fresh vitality is returning and there are strong hopes for a new start. Photos: Hu Yuwei and Li Qiaoyi/GT
