In 2022, Yongzhou container terminal at Jintang port area, East China’s Zhejiang Province completed a container throughput of 2 million TEUs, an increase of 47.31 percent compared to 2021. The expected container production target in 2023 is 2.3 million TEUs, an increase of 15 percent year-on-year. As a landmark port under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the Jintang port area carries the important trade task of countries along the Belt and Road, connecting 46 major ports in 29 countries and regions along the route, including Africa, the Mediterranean, and Russia.
